I was born in Memphis, Tennessee, raised in Waco, Texas, and attended college at Hardin-Simmons University. After graduation, I began teaching and coaching in Birdville ISD.
This is my first year at Parkhill Junior High, where I teach Health. I also coach 8th grade A team volleyball and 7th and 8th grade track. In my spare time I enjoy baking, reading and spending time with my family. I’ve been married 22 years and have three children and three dogs.

I was born and raised in Oakland, California, were I played many sports growing up. I decided to move to Mobile, Alabama my junior year of high school. I made the decision to further my education at the University of Alabama to become a Physical Education teacher. After graduation in December 2015, I moved to Dallas, Texas to pursue my career as a middle school PE teacher. This is my 5th year at Parkhill Junior High School where I’ve taught AVID and Physical Education. I have coached many sports, including volleyball, basketball, and soccer. I’m very passionate about sports and fitness, in my spare time I enjoy playing sports and spending time with my family and friends. The drive, commitment and dedication I strive for on and off the court makes me proud to have Parkhill as my home and to coach great young athletes.
Elizabeth Kaner
7th Grade A Volleyball, Track & Field, Girls Tennis
I was born and raised here in Dallas where I went to Parkhill and graduated from Pearce High School in 2014. At Pearce, I was a teaching intern at Bowie for the 6th grade math class. After high school, I attended the University of North Texas where I got my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies 4-8 Mathematics and ESL In the summers, I spend my time working as the 4th-6th grade Unit Head at the Dallas JCC day camp.
I started playing recreational volleyball in fifth grade and quickly made the switch to play on a competitive club team in sixth grade. I played club volleyball for five years, and I played for Parkhill and Pearce from 7th grade through Varsity. In college, I kept up my volleyball skills by playing intramurals. Now, I have the opportunity to coach the 7th grade A volleyball team, 7th and 8th tennis, and 7th and 8th track & field. I am thrilled and excited for the year ahead.

I was born and raised in Abilene, Texas and attended college at Hardin-Simmons University. After graduation, I got my first teaching job in Bay City, Texas.
This is my 11th year at Parkhill Junior High, where I teach Physical Education. I also coach football and track. In my spare time I enjoy playing cards, dominoes, and golf with family and friends.
Darren Smith

I attended college at Texas Tech University. I am the 7th grade math lead teacher and also coach football and basketball.
I enjoy playing basketball and softball. I have been married to my awesome wife for 6 years and we are proud parents to one AWESOME and CRAZY little boy. I have fully enjoyed being a part of Parkhill’s RAIDER NATION!!!
Chris Varano

I was born and raised in Suffern, NY and attended college at Texas Christian University. After graduation, I worked in sports television, but then decided teaching/coaching was a more fulfilling career choice.
This is my 7th year at Parkhill Junior High, where I teach 7th and 8th Grade GT Social Studies, I also coach Football, Track & Field, and Tennis. In my spare time I enjoy watching sports, playing video games, and going out with friends.
Rhett Pippard

I was born and raised in Plano, Texas and attended college at The University of Texas at Dallas. After graduation, I chose to get my teaching certificate so I could become a social studies teacher and coach.
This is my 2nd year at Parkhill Junior High, where I teach 7th grade Texas History. I also coach football, basketball, and soccer. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and my newborn nephew, hanging out with my friends, and going to the movies.

I was born and raised in Richardson, Texas and attended college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
This is my first year at Parkhill Junior High, where I teach Pre-Algebra. I also coach football and track. In my spare time I enjoy weightlifting.
