ANNUAL ATHLETICS PHYSICALS:

All students who wish to participate in Athletics must complete the RISD Student Athlete Pre-Participation Physical Packet, which is available online for your convenience. The website is https://richardsonisd.rankonesport.com.

Click here for detailed instructions on how to fill out the online RISD Student Athlete Pre-participation Physical Packet.

Richardson ISD and the UIL require the parent/legal guardian to read and sign off on a series of forms every year. The RISD Student Athlete Pre-participation Physical Packet includes all forms, which are now available to be submitted electronically, except for the Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation.

• Emergency Medical Release
• Athletic Insurance Acknowledgement
• Student Records Release
• UIL Acknowledgement of Rules
• UIL Anabolic Steroid Testing Agreement
• UIL Concussion Acknowledgement Form
• UIL Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Form
• RISD Alcohol & Drug Policy

RISD requires that all student athletes in grades 7-12 have an annual pre-participation physical exam, performed by a Doctor, on file with the district annually in order to tryout, practice or play. Please complete and print the Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Form and bring it with you to the Pearce Physicals or to your physician and provide it to your coach.

PRINT- Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation

No student athlete will be allowed to begin participating in any tryout or practice, before, during, or after school, (both in-season and out of season) or games/matches until all forms are completed and documentation of the Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation is on file.

We would like to thank you for taking part in the process of submitting athletic pre-participation paperwork online.  If you are unable to submit the forms electronically, then you can print the forms below or get a packet from the coaches at the beginning of the school year.

ATHLETICS PERIODS SCHEDULE:

  • 7th grade boys & girls will practice before school & have athletics 1st period.
  • 8th grade boys & girls will practice after school & have athletics last period.
  • Off-season participants only participate during their athletics period, they do not practice.

ATHLETICS PARENT MEETINGS

Before each season begins, there is a meeting for parents with the coach of that sport. The meeting is required if your child wants to participate in that sport. At that meeting you will learn about practices, games, guidelines, spirit wear specific to that sport as well as meals for that sport if they are offered. Please make these meetings a priority if your child is interested in participating in specific athletic events.

To receive specific communications regarding a sport, please following these steps:

  • Login to the booster club website (use your membership toolkit password from any school)
  • Click on the 'Online Store' tab
  • Click on 'Parent & Player Information'
  • Update your info, your child/s info and the Player Sport section with check boxes (a checked box means you'll receive e-communications when sent out for that specific sport).

If you have any questions, please contact the Boys or Girls Reps as needed.
